Description
This is a 10-month faculty tenure-track position. Responsibilities include teaching four-five 3-4 credit hour courses in Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations (off-campus and evening teaching may be required) as well as student advising, committee assignments, curriculum and professional development, assessment and other duties expected of faculty. If required, courses in Developmental Math may also be assigned as part of the teaching load.
Ph.D. in Mathematics required (concentration in Analysis preferred). Ability to adopt and demonstrate new pedagogies, use non-traditional methods in the classroom and incorporate the use of technology to stimulate student interest and motivation in learning Mathematics. Candidate must be innovative and creative teaching methodologies to promote student-centered learning. Candidate selected for employment will be subjected to a background investigation.
